As we close out Black History Month, it feels only right to spotlight a creative whose work quite literally brightens our community. This year, our Valentine’s window display was transformed into something unforgettable — bold, romantic, and full of life — thanks to the vision and talent of Locked on Balloons LLC, founded by rising creative Stephanie Rose Locke

We loved it so much that it wasn’t just a one-time collaboration. We’ve officially partnered with Stephanie to design several of our window displays throughout the year — and we cannot wait for what’s next.
Built from Family, Fueled by Creativity
Locked on Balloons LLC didn’t begin as a business plan. It began at home.
Stephanie was the mom who designed and assembled every detail of her children’s celebrations herself. What started as a desire to make birthdays feel personal and magical quickly became something more — a genuine love for creating meaningful, visually stunning experiences.
Soon, she was styling balloon displays for her sisters’ events, pouring that same creativity and care into every detail. At one gathering, multiple guests approached her with the same message: You should be charging for this. We would gladly pay you.
That encouragement planted a seed.
Rather than rushing into it, Stephanie took time to refine her craft. She practiced, learned, and perfected her skills. What began as family décor evolved into a passion for large-scale balloon installations and event design. From that foundation of love and belief; often from others before she fully believed in herself — Locked on Balloons LLC was born.
Today, her work transforms storefronts, celebrations, and community spaces into immersive experiences.

Adding Heart to the Celebration: Locked with Love Gift Baskets
Stephanie’s creativity didn’t stop with balloon styling. From the same desire to celebrate people intentionally, she launched Locked with Love Gift Baskets.
While Locked on Balloons LLC sets the scene and creates the atmosphere, Locked with Love Gift Baskets offers something personal and lasting — a beautifully curated gift that can be held, opened, and cherished.
Whether it’s a birthday, milestone, thank-you, or “just because,” her gift baskets are designed to feel thoughtful and full of love. Together, her two brands complement one another seamlessly:
-
Locked on Balloons LLC transforms the space.
-
Locked with Love Gift Baskets completes the experience.
It’s décor and intention. Atmosphere and connection. Visual impact and heartfelt detail.
The Power of the Multi-Hyphenate Entrepreneur
Stephanie describes herself as a multi-hyphenate entrepreneur — and that identity matters.
Being a creative, business owner, mother, and community supporter simultaneously isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about honoring every part of who she is without forcing herself into one lane.
Balancing multiple ventures has taught her discipline, time management, and the importance of knowing when to pivot. It’s strengthened her confidence and resilience. Most importantly, it’s reinforced that she doesn’t have to do it all at once — she just has to stay intentional and consistent.
That mindset shows in her work. Every installation is thoughtful. Every collaboration is purposeful.
Representation Matters on Cape Cod
As a Black woman creative on Cape Cod, Stephanie understands the deeper impact of visibility.
"In industries where Black creatives are often underrepresented, being seen is powerful. It signals possibility. It shifts narratives. It opens doors for the next generation of entrepreneurs who deserve to know they belong in these spaces too."
Black History Month reminds us that Black creativity, innovation, and excellence have always existed — even when they weren’t acknowledged. Stephanie’s presence in the local creative and event industry is about more than business growth. It’s about creating space where Black excellence is recognized and valued year-round.
Her work stands as proof that Black creativity thrives right here in our community.
A Bold Presence at Pop-Up Street
As a Pop-Up Street sponsor this February, Stephanie brought that same energy and intention to the space with a bold, eye-catching balloon installation designed to add warmth, color, and movement.
Her goal? To create something inviting and interactive — a display that sparks joy, draws visitors in, and enhances the shopping experience while reflecting the vibrant spirit of the Pop-Up Street community.
What excites her most about collaborating with local platforms like ours is the opportunity to support and connect with other small businesses and creatives. It’s about community over competition.
And that’s exactly what we felt when she created our Valentine’s window.

Looking Ahead
Our partnership with Stephanie Lockwood is just beginning. If her Valentine’s display is any indication, our windows this year will continue to tell stories of celebration, creativity, and connection.
As we close Black History Month, we celebrate not only history — but present-day excellence. We celebrate entrepreneurs who build from love. We celebrate creatives who bet on themselves. And we celebrate community collaborations that uplift us all.
Black excellence lives here. Creativity lives here. And thanks to Stephanie Lockwood, our windows will keep shining because of it.
