Meet Our CEO

Zavia Empey is a multifaceted artist, educator, fashion designer, mentor and chef whose creative journey has spanned various disciplines and geographies. With a teaching career of over 15 years, Zavia has imparted her knowledge both in the Caribbean and the United States, fostering a passion for learning and creativity in her students. Her venture into the world of fashion began in Jamaica, where she started by designing and crafting handmade sandals. This endeavor laid the groundwork for her later success in the United States, where she evolved her craft to include outfits adorned with her original abstract art.
Zavia's unique designs have caught the attention of prestigious publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Home and Garden UK, marking her as a notable figure in the fashion industry. Her love for the entire design and creative process has not only defined her career but has also led her to mentor up-and-coming creatives, helping them to launch and grow their businesses.
Beyond her other professional achievements, Zavia's passion for culinary arts adds another layer to her versatile talent, allowing her to explore and express her creativity through cooking. She began cooking at the age of 8 and has mastered creating uniquely, flavorful dishes, that showcase a rich tapestry of various cultures around the world.
