Pop Up Street Artist Residency Program 2026

Overview

The Pop-Up Street Artist Residency is a 3-month immersive retail + creative opportunity designed for artists ready to grow their brand, connect with community, and gain real-world exposure.

Each cycle, we select 1–2 artists to join us inside our Hyannis studio, where creativity meets commerce.

This is not just a display opportunity — it’s a hands-on experience in selling, storytelling, and showing up as a creative entrepreneur.

What Artists Receive

Retail Presence

  • Dedicated section inside Pop-Up Street studio
  • Opportunity to sell products, artwork, or creative goods
  • Real-time customer interaction and feedback

Marketing & Visibility

  • Feature on Pop-Up Street website
  • Social media promotion (posts + stories)
  • Inclusion in Pop-Up Street content shoots
  • Opportunity for YouTube feature/interview
  • Potential inclusion in Culture & Co. + printed guides

Creative Integration

  • Opportunity to host or co-host workshops/events
  • Participation in Pop-Up Street experiences (tours, pop-ups, etc.)
  • Access to a built-in creative community

The Residency Structure

Duration: 3 Months
Spots Available: 1–2 Artists per cycle

This is a hybrid residency combining:

  • Retail rental space
  • Work-exchange model
  • Marketing support

Pricing + Work Exchange 

  • Retail Value: $600/month 
  • Artist Contribution:
    • $200/month cash
      • 8–10 hours/week working in the shop

Artist Responsibilities

Residents are expected to:

  • Work scheduled hours in the retail shop weekly
  • Assist with:
    • Sales + customer experience
    • Merchandising + restocking
  • Actively promote their residency + products
  • Maintain their display area

This is about being both artist + entrepreneur
